The Goods and Services Tax (GST) registration amendment refers to the process of changing or updating information submitted to the GST department at the time of registering for GST. This may include details such as address, mobile number, email address, addition, deletion, or amendment of goods and services, and so on.
In case of any change in information or details provided in the GST Registration, it is mandatory to inform the changes within 15 days from the date of changes.
The amendment to GST registration can be categorized into two types:
1. Core Amendment: Changes related to the PAN details of the business, ownership details etc. usually require the approval of tax authorities.
2. Non-Core Amendment: Changes like a business address, addition of a new place of business, change in phone number etc. These changes do not need any approval and can be submitted directly.
